Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RankWise Tools, operated by Marvin Martin, a sole trader trading as RankWise Tools ("we", "us", "our"), at rankwisetools.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The service

RankWise Tools provides a suite of SEO and web utility tools — keyword research, backlink analysis, technical SEO checkers, content tools, and similar. Most tools are available without an account. A subset of tools require an active membership (see Section 4).

3. Accounts

Some tools require a free account. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering and for keeping your password confidential. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Membership & payment

Certain tools require a one-time membership fee, shown at checkout in the currency and amount configured at the time of purchase. Membership is a single payment — not a recurring subscription — and, once activated on an account, does not expire.

Payment is processed by Stripe and/or PayPal. We never see or store your card number; card and PayPal account details are handled entirely by those providers under their own terms.

You can pay before creating an account. Membership activates automatically on whichever account you later verify using the same email address you paid with.

5. Refunds and your cancellation rights

Membership grants immediate digital access to gated tools as soon as payment completes. Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you would normally have 14 days to cancel a distance-selling contract — but by completing payment for membership, you expressly request and consent to immediate performance of the service, and you acknowledge that you lose this cancellation right once your gated tools unlock.

Because of this, membership fees are non-refundable once access has activated, except where required by law. If a payment was made but never claimed on an account, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we'll consider a refund at our discretion.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service to violate any law; attempt to bypass membership gating or rate limits; scrape or resell tool output at scale without permission; probe, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; or use the Service to generate content that infringes someone else's rights.

7. Your content

Tools like the Article Rewriter and Plagiarism Checker process text you submit. You keep all rights to that text. We use it only to run the tool you invoked and don't claim ownership of it. You're responsible for having the right to submit whatever content you paste into a tool.

8. Tool accuracy

Tools like rank checkers, authority scores, and index checkers pull from third-party data sources and are provided for informational purposes. We don't guarantee their accuracy, and results shouldn't be treated as a substitute for your own verification before making business decisions.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate Section 6. If your account is terminated for cause, membership fees already paid are forfeited.

10. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marvin Martin (trading as RankWise Tools) is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of £50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
